Dear Family---So, because I live in the hood, a lot of packages that have been sent to me keep getting torn into and stuff stolen from them. So notice the address change down at the bottom.
Couple quick miracles from this week!
Tendrick Shamory (I always think Kendrick Lamar haha). He's the most humble man I've ever met, from the Marshall Islands. When we came in for the 1st lesson, he told us about taking the missionary lessons in the past, but that he's been "thinking about Baptism everyday" and everything that kept him from getting married, he can overcome now. He needs to get married, but he is very committed to do it! His wife, Amy, doesn't speak any English. He translates, and we ordered a bunch of stuff in Marshallese.
Saturday, we knocked into a really humble lady named Myesha! When we prayed with her, she told us that she felt so relieved and peaceful. She's been looking to find a church to take her and her 3 kids to, and that just last week she went to church for the 1st time in many years. It's cool how God sends you to people in the exact time when they're receptive and ready to receive you.
Other than that, we're continue to teach tons of people. Literally dozens and dozens of people. None of them are really progressing very well, and doing the things we ask them to do. It's hard sometimes being a missionary, when you find people going through so many hard things, and you know that the ways for them to receive peace and blessings are so close, all they have to do is act, but they won't even try it. I wonder if that's how God feels with us sometimes?
