What's up Everybody!
So I met my son.. and It's Elder Alexis from Michigan! He's from Ann Arbor.. so I wonder if Jenna and Alan know him? Apparently there's 12 missionaries from his ward (missionaries from Michigan, who would have known they exist?) We are the "youngest" (in terms of experience in the Mission) together, but we're working hard and attacking everything! His Spanish is way good, you can tell he definitely worked hard and took full advantage of his time in the CCM. He had my same teachers down in Mexico too, which is pretty neat.
mijo! he's a boss! Played a year of O-Line for an Engineering School in Indiana |

We came into the area working hard! And the Lord is definitely real and was definitely with me, because all of a sudden I understand Spanish about 4x better! hahaha. This week we were able to see a lot of Miracles. First of all, our young Cuban family of Asiel, Claudia, (and 1 month old Kiley) really progressed well this week! last week was rough, and they were going through a lot of struggles. Claudia went to Miami for the week to be with her family, and Asiel was feeling really down about it. When they got back, we shared how the Gospel of Jesus Christ blesses families, and focused on how Families can be together forever and the church blesses our families and supports them. You could see it was exactly what Claudia needed and wants, and you could tell Asiel was beaming because she was finally understanding what he has been understanding for a few weeks. She instantly asked us "how do i get baptized? what do we need to do?" then turned to Asiel "you want to get baptized to, right?" It was SO SWEET. It was another one of those moments of just overwhelming joy that I can't even describe.

We are also still teaching a lot of Asiel's friends (he shares his knowledge with EVERYONE) and his bestfriend/brother Michel has been coming to church for a few weeks now! Our only hold up with him is his wife is very tentative and shy, and is really hesitant to meet with us. Little by little, we know she will see his example and the happiness he's receiving and she will want the same!
We got to go the Park for Labor Day (despite it being a Prosyleting day) for the ward activity. SeƱorita came! She's doing great. Her husband is reading with her a little in the Book of Mormon, and she's going to invite him to church on Sunday! again, little by little, God is performing miracles in our area.
They played in their whites & church shoes on the field that's saturated from early rain. Investigator texted this to ward member who texted to me (mom) |

We also got some awesome friends of the Bravo family to teach! and during a knocking session we found 3 people who were super prepared by the Lord in 12 doors, which NEVER happens in our area (it's hard enough to just find 3 out of 12 who speak Spanish hahaha)
I am so blessed to have the Gospel in my life. Despite my imperfections as a person, a teacher, and follower of Christ just trying to do my best, I am recieving the help I need to train a new missionary, take over an area, and help people that I consider some of the bestfriends I've ever had come closer to their Heavenly Father. The Joy from it all can't be expressed, and each day I can account for my mistakes, plan on how I can change, and try tomorrow to do my best. That is the Gospel of Christ, and through Christ he will help us change, and mold us into the best we can be as we give ourselves over to him.
Les Quiero,
